Brostep You Ask?
There seems to be a lot of talk lately on whether or not Dubstep has gone too far in terms of noise for the sake of noise. This has been 'dubbed' (see what I did there) by industry heavyweights including Skream and Rusko as 'Brostep'. Now I'm not going to comment on this debate although I feel as I empathise with both sides on this one, so I'll let you all make up your own mind.
What inspired this post was this great remix that I just found by Dillon Francis. He lists the genre as 'Luvstep' and I think that word best describes it, this is Dubstep that even your Grandma would like. This one is really different, so if you like Dubstep for the noise then it's most probably not for you, however if you like low-fi, uplifting, half-time bliss then this one is a must have. It just seems in a market flooded with the noisiest of noise when something different comes along it really is refreshing and for the moment I can't get enough of it.
