OK so every once in a while you stumble across one one of these remix Ep's where you really don't have a clue which remix to buy because they're all banging in their own right. Mustard Pimp really do have the 'Dream Team' on remix duties here. Good luck trying to pick your favourite! I honestly cant decide so I'm just going to have to buy them all as soon as it gets released on Beatport on the 19th of July
Monster! Monster! is his name, this guy is making serious tunes and from what i can gather he is doing it from gameboys and kids toys?? None the other this track is banging the chick vocals do it for me. Take It Back - (Moster!Monster! Remix)
Just got onto this one, shit! It's going to be downright awesome if this teaser is anything to go by. Beataucue just have such a massive sound that deserves to be played extremely loud!!!
Out exclusively on Beatport 27th of June, all other digital platforms 7 of July! Get it!
& here's a fesh one from the Mix; A-Trak feat. CyHi Da Prynce - Ray Ban Vision (Elmo is Dead Vs Luckybeard Remix) by DJElmoisDead Ghetto bmore styled Bootleg, breaking down to 80bpm hip hop in the middle. It's a re-work of the Luckybeard (One half of Crookers) Remix. Could only find it on the net @ 160kbp, so iv'e done a complete re-kit + added the old Pon De Floor Snare (which gets a solid reaction, thanks to the recent beyonce re-make...)
My GF's a massive Danny T frother. She showed me this one a while back. Finally had a chance to get it in a mix. Really cool, dark, 808 tech house. They've worked the bass so A in the one; Chris James & Danny T-Return To Klezmer by DannyT
The closer is something a little different for me, Real Indie/Nu Rave styled track from Goose. Amazing arpeggiated chord progressions & the susstained vocals just send chills up your spine. There's mumbai science mix the blogs got all other, but I really just like the original Been out for a couple months now, but it's a super track, def give it a listen;
Diplo just unleashed this epic moombahton mix. I know there are a lot of crew sitting on the fence with this genre. Hopefully after listening to this massive mix you will jump on board. I really can't get enough of this right now!
Diplo -"Moombahton is so mad and buzzy and weird and crazy. We are on its dick here at Mad Decent. We just put out a comp of it. I thought it best to make a summer mix for your house party where I can put it ınto a context for all you fine radio subscrıbers. Have fun and get that que que record I did wıth Dillon and Maluca!"

To celebrate the release of their remix of Freeland's classic hit 'We Want Your Soul', Trumpdisco compiled this mixtape for Marine Parade. I mean just look at the tracklist (33 tracks in 31 minutes) Its completley mental! Might even need a bigger set of speakers. This one is going to get some serious playtime!!
Enough of the bullshit. All these tracks come with the highest recommendation.
A couple of weeks ago ZZT released the official remixes of the epic Zafrika. Its packed with ten remixes that cover a wide variety of styles .The duties are carried out by Clouds,Afrojack, Plein Soleil, Julio Bashmore and Marseille just to name a few. With a catalog of artists like that on board for the release ,it comes with pride that I say the best of the pack comes from Aussies Light Year and The Finger Prince (Gus Da Hoodrat). Light Year are killing it at the moment. ZZT - Zzafrica (Light Year & Finger Prince Remix)
It the eyes of many it seems that the man they call Diplo has simply outgrown the dance music industry.Juggling his Major Lazor project all while producing for music heavyweights the likes of Snoop Dogg, Kid Cudi and now Young Jeezy (AYE!), people have been quick to write the man off recently .When his name does pop up though, you generally know the music is going to be of very high quality. Something fresh from Diplo as he teams up with talented Frenchman Douster.
ALERT ALERT ALERT!!!!!!! This is quite possibly my favourite track at the moment. LA natives DSKOTEK gave this one away for free the other week. I never got into Megaman as a kid, but god dammit I'm in to this track. An original concept executed to perfection.
It wouldn't be a post by myself if I didn't post some deeper stuff. So that I will.
Popof, saying his name around a bunch of kids would probably make them giggle between each other. But throw one of his tracks on and the kids will more than likely run away. I wish I could play his music whenever a spoilt whinging kid was around. From his Wax Machine EP released late last year, something you do with your plate after eating dinner.
It seems I cant do a post without throwing up something from the Dirtybird fam. Blaze one up, have a few beers and listen . You really have to listen to this from START TO FINISH as the narrative is of a dude on a mushroom trip. Justin Martins touches really enhance the story and almost make you feel like its you that's tripping balls.A few years old ,but sounds as good as when it came out.
Another one from Dirtybird here, and an unlikely candidate to make a release on the label. With releases like this coming out the blender, its no wonder Dirtybird stay ahead of the game. This played on a good system will have you thinking someone brought a beehive to the club. Its only a couple of dollars so go buy it in 320 at Beatport.
Sadly in April this year ,Gerard Smith bassist of the iconic TV On The Radio passed away. So when I saw that Crystal Vision had done a remix of arguably their best song Staring At The Sun, I really hoped they didn't ruin it. And to my pleasant surprise, they didn't.
They managed to keep the raw emotion of the original in tact all while adding a dramatically heavy bassline. If you hadn't heard of this band, you should definitely check them out.Dubstep fans will love this. Tv On The Radio -Staring At The Sun ( Crystal Vision Bootleg Bass Remix) Highly Advised
And I will finish up today on a lighter note.
BeatElectric, in my opinion the best blog when it comes to old school disco jams. They posted this ol school flava a small time ago along with a dub version of the original . Below is a link of the dub version and the video clip .Fucking Hilarious!
Music isn't meant to be serious all the time people!
Well I feel like the heavens opened up for all of us who were lucky enough to see the Proxy on Sunday night. That easily goes down in the top 3 sets I've ever witnessed (and yes I was at Daft Punk haha) After dropping a track as big as 'Raven' and having the whole place turn inside out he would hold up a sign that read 'TUNE' - talking about the next track coming in. So basically just when you think you have heard one of the most amazing electro songs ever written (Raven), Proxy is like "yeah this track rules but wait for this next one crew..... (drop) haha see I told you".
Huge shout outs to all the Pang crew for such an amazing night and to Peking Duk for playing that amazing warm up set!
Here is a DJ mix Proxy made in February this year. I would love to get my hands on the live set from the weekend but until that becomes available (if ever) Turn this one up!
SubterrAgency in association with Dubchild & Sinphony are proud to present one of the hottest names in dubstep today - the mighty FuntCase - in his first ever Sydney show, as part of the Snakefist VIP tour. Now signed to the what is arguably the biggest dubstep label worldwide - the inimitable Circus Records crew - alongside Doctor P, Flux Pavilion, Slum Dogz, and Cookie Monsta, it seems Funty's hard work has paid off, headlining numerous nights around the UK, and touring the world, with shows in France, Belgium, Romania, the USA and New Zealand already under his belt.
With a name as big as FUNTCASE it wouldn't be right unless there was a venue to accommodate him and the Arthouse Hotel can do just that. Recently having roughly $300k worth of new sound put in (Nexo System) the Arthouse hotel could not be more ready to explode on July 9th.
I've said it once before and I'll say it again (maybe get used to it) Kids At The Bar are absolutly destroying it at the moment. Everything they put out there is pure gold, super fun and bouncy to play in the clubs. Dj's take note!
Dubsidia only came to my attention with Excision's 'The X Sessions' mixtape. After hearing one track on there I quickly raced across to there Soundcloud page to enjoy more of his evil beats.
The breakdown is super super cool. I'm not 100% sold on the bass heavy drop here though. I think they could of went a different direction with it. Either way its still a fun and bouncy song.
The late king of pop gets a fun rework on one of his biggest hits. It just seems like Boris Dlugosch was having an absolute ball working on this one. I can almost see the smile on his face when he was playing with the drum patterns.
I don't think there is anyone out there who is honeslty not a fan of Kylie, regardless if you arn't a massive fan of pop music in general (like myself) The woman is so damn creative and talented. Here we have her hit single 'Slow' that has been slowed right down and just bounces along at such a cool pace.
Starting off with little knowledge of electronical genres, Modek soon realised just how complex it was to make those tracks that made dance halls blow apart. Very soon, he plunged himself into the electronic scene and became a huge fan of producers and DJs of the likes of SebastiAn, Justice, ErolAlkan, Boys Noize, etc. Today, Modek’s tracks are being picked up and supported by a lot of Djs all around the world. With releases on respected labels such as Mental Groove and Dim Mak and a spot on the WKA roster, he keeps growing and expanding his fan base and is ready to take over Europe and the world! He just released this track to celebrate 2000 fans. I cannot stress enough how good this track is. I have been losing my shit over this all weekend!!! Easily one of the biggest drops going round. Reminds me a lot of Ado's recent work.
So I just found this. Most people wouldn't associate Dubstep with classical music, in fact it's most common association is with non-musical noise. I think now is when it'll all change. I've always had a soft spot for Nero, mainly due to the fact that their productions are very musical and extremely well written, produced and mixed down. I knew they were great, but this good? It seems so, this is truly amazing. The work that must have gone into this is absolutely mind blowing, transcribe a Dubstep song into sheet music for an entire orchestra in nothing short of amazing. You can hear snippets of their tracks throughout the piece, with my favourites being the violin stabs of their hit Me & You & the vocals from in Guilt. This is 20 minutes of pure musical bliss. This comes with my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION EVER!!!!!
I love Soundcloud for a number of reasons. As an artist I can share my music with a community of like minded people and the fact that you get to listen to awesomeness like this on the reg. I'll make it simple, this is fucking dope and I can't wait till it's out. (23rd of June on Oh My God It's Techno Music)
Martin Reeves, AKA Krafty Kuts, is without doubt one of the world’s greatest DJs. Lauded in the UK, worshipped here in Australia, acclaimed in America, where ever he plays he is guaranteed to cause a commotion with his riotous skills. His smash hit 'ill type sound' was the first electronic song that got my attention and made me explore this wonderfull world of music that i drown myself in everyday. Mad respect Krafty!!
Here is an epic re-rub he just whipped up for Australian boys Bombs Away (much more to come on these guys too)
Continuing with this inundation of tracks marking Smidgem hitting 1000 fans on Facebook, I've unearthed some awesome party starting tunes for ya'll to download. I came across the Mightyfools mix on Soundcloud dashboard, needless to say this is typical Mightyfools goodness and it's a Rod Stewart remix so you know it'll get the party started.
Underneath the track on Souncloud was a link provided by Tommie Sunshine's Brooklyn Fire label that contained a bunch of awesome bootlegs and edits of popular songs which you can get here. This one was my favourite.
Also came across this one by Barletta. He turns this into a monster with just enough of the original to have your average joe schmo frothing for a shuffle.
So it's here, Skrillex's third release and it's an effin' good one! A few of these tracks have been floating around for a while in various forms like 'First Of The Year (Equinox)' and the Dirtyphonics remix of Scary Monsters. I'm really diggin' the vibes on 'Ruffneck FULL Flex' and the Kaskade remix of Scary Monsters, which makes no sense yet so much sense at the same time. Here's a few tracks from the EP, however the whole thing is fuckin' massive and it's out today on Beatport so go pick it up.
Sweden's Owlvision has just released the video for his upcoming single 'Deathstar'. This video is super dope and the song is frickin' massive. Out on 14th of June on Comorbid Records.
In the meantime grab this one it's also super awesome!
The good people at SiriusXM Satellite Radio let Skrillex bang it out last saturday for 2 hours. So as you can expect its completlety face melting right from the get go. I'll let the tracklist do the rest of the talking for this one..
17 year old Dubstep producer Davr from Umeå, Sweden is known for blasting out hard hitting aggressive Dubstep tunes. With several releases out on labels like Play Me Too, Filthy Digital, Tuff Love Dubs & Dub Cartel, Davr is a producer to watch out for. After he had heard the dark heavy sounds of dubstep in late 2008 he decided to try and make it himself and has since then made his mark on the dubstep scene. His tunes are currently getting support from well known artists and djs like Ajapai, Mark Instinct, Subvert, Total Recall, Hulk, Sinister Souls, Dodger, Reid Speed and many others.
When I'm on the hunt for new tunes and find that perfect track that simultaneously makes me smile, sit up in my seat and turn the volume up to ten, I always think 'this must be a how a junkie feels when they score'. I know I'm not the only one who thinks like this too.... so what does that make us. Music junkies? Track whores? Beat addicts?
Anyway I found these two tracks today that gave me this exact feeling.
Unlikely doesn't even begin to describe Porter Robinson's rapid ascent to the forefront of the world of dance music. Hailing from North Carolina, 18-year-old Porter Robinson had never set foot in a club when his smash hit "Say My Name" shot to number one on Beatport's Electro-House chart, making people do just that on dancefloors and DJ booths across the globe. Complex yet catchy, and classic yet cutting edge, Porter Robinson's instantly recognizable sound has earned him the raving support of legendary producers such as Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, David Guetta, The Crystal Method and Armand Van Helden, and landed him shows across the globe – all before he has even had the chance to finish high school. Porter will be touring Australia soon through Vamp Music and The Music People so keep your ears to the ground. You dont want to miss this guy!
I just stumbled upon these couple of mixtapes by Audio Addict. They are a little different to usual as they are basically a tribute to his heros, he just uses all of their tracks and remixes. The thing that doesnt make this whole concept lame is that he chose to use 2 industry leaders such as Skream and Liquid Stranger.
