Boltan

AC Slater plus Udachi equals Boltan great duo enjoy this banger..

Laughing Through My Teeth (Boltan)

Go

This track is by Thavius Beck a great trademark beat which bounces like a bomb on a trampoline. Remix duties are dealt with by Offshore, who brings some Gaelic science to proceedings. Having just released his debut single on influential Scottish label Stuff Records, Offshore strips the original back into a bass-heavy wonk-crunk masterpiece.I really really really like this song like heaps and im sure you will to..Enjoy

GO (Offshore Remix).

Take Me On

Take On Me is one of my favorite songs of all time ( Along with having by far the best music video of all time) and although this brilliant cover by The Twelves has been around for a while I figured I should post it so more people get to experience the goodness..

How house should be..

Happy 2010 Smidgemers, hope your respective festivities were bouncing and the supply of intoxicants ample.

I've been over that 'big' house sound for a while now, that mainroom shit they play in Sydney's more 'trendy' places with seemingly endless repetitive basslines, rolling kicks and female vocal hooks drives me insane.  You could hit a baby with a cat in a studio and produce better music. Now onto my point, I was scrolling through my music the other day and came across the Kris Menace remix of Shooting Stars by 'classically trained, turned ruler of all things dance' Sydney duo Bag Raiders. Now this is what house is! So deep and rich with so many layers that makes this song just a blessing on the ears. This song went from a play count of 3 to about 53 in a matter of days.. absolutely loving it..and now it's yours!

Free Weed

Some fresh new music to bring in the impending new year. 'Was' is up and coming Australian producer Wesley Steven who is set to smash into the scene at any time. I don't know much about him however I did briefly go to school with him around 5 years back. This track samples the "Tash" song "Pimpin' Ain't Easy". A great fidgety banger that channels Insane! by Smoke and Mirrors ( A DJ Neoteric side project). This tack will tear apart dance-floors and speakers alike. As far as I know this is a Smidgem exclusive so get amongst it.
