Brand new stuff from the one and only Thrusher. After banging out a couple of dubstep tracks Lucas decided to get back in to the electro world and rework Jack Beats latest single 'All Night'.
This one is HUGE to say the least! The bassline is so grimey and seems to grow throughout the whole track. Cant wait to play this one out!!

FuzzMagazineisa a pretty sick magazine out of Belgium it's almost a year old and is actually an awesome read has heaps of content and covers news from all over the electronic music scene. The magazine put together a compilation of tracks and gave the 3rd installment and mixtape duties to MODEK. Its absolutely banging, upbeat, lots of bass and has a killer tracklist, Download the mix below and you can download all 21 tracks from the mix in a zipped folder below aswell..
F.O.O.L's (Fuck Our Ordinary Lives) INVASION EP, Soon to be released on OMGITM (Oh My God It's Techno Music) Records! Remixes from The S, Ikki, Figure, Trumpdisco, Dumme Jungs and Neus. My pick of the bunch is the Trumpdisco remix, these 2 guys are seriously killing it...
Brand new stuff from Sydney local Redial. I heard him play this a few weeks ago and have been eagerly awaiting him to put it up on his soundcloud. It starts out with his classic synth sound then drops in to this headbanger of a track. Play this one loud!
So you may remember when i was talking bout this track in the last Beat The Weekend post. Krafty Kuts just put it up on his soundcloud for ya'll to preview. Ado produces the goods again with this remix. The bassline he creates is insane! It kind of reminds me of Proxys earlier stuff complete with a quick stall before each drop. Have a listen then head on over to beatport to pick it up.
Ability Whores consist of Smidgem regular Narrator (aka Caleb Crinis) and good mate Glen Power. These young troublemakers just sent through their latest mixtape which is banging from start to finish... Not many flat spots through this one. The boys wrap it up with some tasty dub at the end too.
Wollongong local Johnathan Byrne aka Swiss Dub just sent through some of his latest work. These two are gold! The Cassius one speaks for itself. Such a great tune, even better dubbed out. The second is an original and has one of the coolest samples I've heard for a while. All you drug fiends will enjoy this one. Haha. Both are available for free download too.
Searching soundcloud this morn i stumbled across this young electro/dubstep producer who goes by the name Crizzly.. His tracks are as dirty as fingering your sister and finding your dads wedding ring, now that's dirty! His track Hard In Da Paint reached over 1000 downloads in just over 24hrs that's massive, So i dare say big things to come this kid is blowing up..
There is this guy that goes by the name of Proxy .He meant to be coming to Australia over the June period.I think he is from Russia or somewhere cold like that. I have heard that he is heavily influenced by guys like Tiesto, David Guetta and strangely enough Elton John. You can really hear their influences in his production. This is a mix he did a little while back for Clash Music.
(cue sarcastic voice) Wow! People really need to hear this guy. Im soooooo proud of this new discovery.
Ado is fast becoming one of the most indemand producers/remixers out there. Dropping a new remix every few weeks. Bomb after bomb. He just completed a remix for Krafty Kuts, head on over to beatport to pick it up (its my new favorite)
I dont think anyone was ever excpecting the Bloody Beetroots to remix Britney but hey you know what, Justice went there too if that makes you feel any better about it.
Sir Bob pretty much drowned her voice out anyway so dont be worrying about that. All in all its a feel good rave song.
Mortal Kombat is getting a revamp to bring it up to the modern times. The good folks at Warner Bros. took it upon themselves to employ some of the biggest names in dance music to produce the soundtrack. The likes of Run Dmt , Bird Peterson, LA Riots, Felix Cartel, Tokimonsta, Congorock, 9th Wonder, Skrillex, JFK, Harvard Bass, Them Jeans and Sound Of Stereo. Every one of these tracks are massive but these are the ones really stood out for me.
So I only recently discovered Gregori Klosman and definitly a little rattled that i didnt sooner. He covers all bases, with everything from grinding electro to tech/tribal house and some insane mashups. Here's a few that will get you chair dancing in no time.
Thrusher delivers 'the motherfucking sound' with this latest dubstep destroyer. I honestly didnt think it was possible to fit so much noise and so many sounds in to one track. They all seem to roll off one another so well and the first drop is worth its weight in gold. Easily my favourite dub track right now so take my advice and play this as loud as possible!!
Yep, music straight up rules. The influx of dope music lately has been phenomenal, I constantly find myself saying my usual "fuck, this is the best song ever" and with good reason, this shit makes you dance! So a few tunes for ya'll to groove to this weekend.
Noisia. These guys are fucking retarded, honestly. Well probably not but their music certainly is and definitely in a good way. This recent Katy Perry remix is just plain MASSIVE. Huge drums, perfectly layered synths, and of course a stupidly awesome Dubstep bassline that surprisingly goes great with Katy's vocals. Katy Perry's breasts. That is all.
Still on Noisia this one is well worth your time too. Standard Electro speed, really cool sample and textbook Noisia production perfectness make this one a winner.
L.A native and Smidgem favourite Dillon Francis has doing everything 'right' for a while now and his new tune is no exception. Super fun Dubstep with something for everyone. Bright airy synths, cool filtered snare crescendos and a huge bassline all combine to make this one supremely dance floor friendly and just a fuckin' cool tune.
I only just discovered Dead C∆T Bounce and all I can say is that I'm a little disappointed that I hadn't done so sooner. These guys fuckin' rock, they get extra points for remixing Ellie Goulding because she is bursting with awesomeness. I posted the Russ Chimes mix of this a while back, this one is very different much bigger and heavier so get it into your speakers A.S.A.P.
You've all heard of Dubtsep supergroup Magnetic Man, right? Well if you haven't the group consists of Skream, Benga and Atwork. Everything that these three do both under their Magnetic Man guise and as their separate entities is just amazingly well done. The Magnetic Man live show is supposed to be mental and I might actually go to a festival if they bring it out to Aus, maybe. Anyway if you missed the boat on this one get amongst this, you won't be disappointed.
Computer club has sent along this massive mixtape that's sure to blow your speakers, Packed with plenty of bass and quality tunes i suggest you get on it...

Well it seems to be that time of year when all the artists ramp up their production and start pumping tracks out left, right and center. I highly recommend you do your ears a favour and grab all these!
Another epic remix from Bart B More, although i find it a bit strange that he used the same sample (in the build) as he did with his mix of 'Lets Go' but this will be one of the biggest tracks of the year. Mark my words.
As if the original wasnt good enough anyway... Le Castle Vania takes it to the next level! You find yourself playing it to the death over and over again. Absoultly love this one!
You know those tracks you DL and dont give them a proper listen and end up forgetting bout them altogether. Well fuck I blew it big time! After hearing some of my mates play this out a few weeks ago I've been totally obsessed, like listen to it everyday..
Smidgem regular and master of the bassline Figure teamed up with electro heavyweight Will Bailey to bring some of the freshest 'dubstep' (that's not a typo) I've heard in ages. The change up that comes halfway through is simply amazing and so addictive. Found this on repeat a few times today! The best thing bout this one is Figure is giving it out for free download on his soundcloud. So get on it asap!!
I saw the mighty Blatta & Inesha play at Candys Apartment a couple of weeks ago. They absolutley destroyed the joint!! So when I recieved an email this morning about a brand new track from the duo I was fizzing to take a listen. Ive been a huge fan of Modek for quite a while now so to find out he was on remixing duties i was stoked! This has already been getting huge support from the likes of Gtronic, Cyberpunkers, Drop The Lime etc.

The title is pretty self explanatory. Smidgem favs and all round cool dudes Peking Duk have been handed remix duties on Redial's massive new single 'Venom'. I'm a huge fan of this mix and it comes with my highest recommendation, so have a listen below then head over to beatport and pick up the whole EP...it's pretty effin' good!
Fuck!! Nearly 2 months without internet....I was close to "headin' out califoni way" to get me some internet. But being sans internet is a thing of the past, I would like to thank the other contributors for keeping things going whilst I was out of action, the tunes have been pumping and I've been salivating at the thought of downloading them all. So being that I was out of action for so long The next few weeks are going to be jam packed full of awesomeness. But to start I though I'd post a bit of ear candy seeing as it's been a while.
First up I have to post this because it's downright amazing. Everybody's favourite emo Skrillex did a masterful job turning this track into a screaming Dubstep mind melter. However Congorock have straight up made it one more awesome on the scale of awesomeness. This thing is fucking huge so get the fuck on it...NOW!!!!
Speaking of Skrillex just for a little change I figured I'd share this with you all. Being signed to mau5trap really shines through with this one. It's very Ibiza progressive, complete with female vocals, lovey-dovey synth melodies and major chord stabs. It does definitely show Sonny's versatility as a producer especially after listening to his Sick Bubblegum remix just before it.
Jack Beats have always been a favourite of mine and it seems since gaining notoriety they've been focusing on big well made productions and leaving large intervals between releases. Their latest 'All Night' is no exception to this rule. A fantastic tune and on a side note this is a double A side the other being 'Elevator Music' which is different yet still full of Jack Beats awesomeness.
Now what Jack Beats release would be complete without a huge remix from a fellow brit. This time Dubstep messiah Skream takes this tune and 'Dubsteps' the absolute crap out of it.
Big news of late, Justice have release some new material. Civilization is pretty big. The vocals are fairly awe-inspiring and coupled with that massive signature Justice sound this track is a winner. It also features on the new Adidas ad which I highly suggest you watch.
Onto another artist I haven't heard much of in a while, MSTRKRFT have had a few tracks floating round the blogs recently, their first material since Fist Of God I'm pretty sure so it's been a while. Have a listen.
Diplo seems to remix everyone and anyone and he's always experimenting with genres which I love because you seriously never know what he's going to come out with next. Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker has been doing some 'solo' stuff lately and I saw that knowing full well he would have an entire production team dedicated to his music, I just can't really see him making it all himself. Anyway Diplo has turned his track 'Can A Drummer Get Some' into a Drumstep-ish tune that's all round bangin'.
